Surgery will determine how long he will miss. That play is when the injury occurred, per Schefter.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Seahawks\u2019 first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba broke a bone in his wrist on the play in which he almost scored Saturday night. He will have it surgically repaired today in Philadelphia. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/C7oTkoBv94\">https:\/\/t.co\/C7oTkoBv94<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/1694011872817643574?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 22, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Following a promising 2021 where Smith-Njigba had 95 receptions for 1,606 yards and set the Rose Bowl single-game receiving record with 347 yards in Ohio State&#8217;s win over Utah, the wide receiver strained his hamstring on Ohio State&#8217;s 2022 season opener against Notre Dame and played in just three games before deciding to sit out the rest of the season to heal up and focus on the NFL Draft.<\/p>\n<p>There currently is no timetable for how long Smith-Njigba will be out, or if the injury will cost him any time in the regular season.
